KERRY BROWNELL, 4, SISTER ARCHIVES, EACH 10”x10”, COLOUR PHOTO, PRINTED ON CANVAS, 2021. The reinterpretation of documents through photography elevates them allowing for a more impactful conveyance of the death of an infant sister. Printing on canvas connects this piece to my painting practice, and the addition of the QR code expands the viewer’s narrative experience.
